The Canadians are on fire right now. So much talent coming to the fore these days especially in the electronic arena. TRST are just another act that demand your attention. Made up of Austra drummer Maya Postepski and Robert Alfons, TRST offer a darker hue of electronic pop that always resonates with me.
The duo’s debut single Sulk is causing waves in the blogosphere and with those in the know and with good reason. A deceptively melodic track, one can’t help but close their eyes and sway to the groove. Alfons’ vocals slither and creep throughout guiding you throughout what feels like a three and half minute somnambulistic exercise. Dare to resist at your own risk, these guys have the good with plenty more in store.
