Yup. I’m home on a Saturday night. Sad? You betcha. Instead of feeling sorry and reminding myself of what a loser I am by not going, I find solace in hitting the tunes. Tonight’s pick is She Loves Everybody by Chester French, the debut single from their 2009 debut record Love The Future. The record itself was spotty. Many ideas in place but lacking in cohesion though lots of untapped promise brmming within. The duo nailed it the first time going with this single. I remember loving it when it first came out and feeling as if blue-eyed soul was potentially making a comeback. It didn’t quite work out that way but the promotional film was definitely worth more than a few guffaws as we witness the band getting stomped by an (ex?)girlfriend.
